As Comissões Nacionais para a UNESCO da Europa (e mais além) condenam o ataque à Ucrânia

Os recentes acontecimentos marcam um ponto de viragem para a Ucrânia, a Europa e o mundo.

As Comissões Nacionais para a UNESCO da Europa (e mais além) condenam veementemente o ataque da Federação Russa à Ucrânia. Expressamos a nossa solidariedade para com o povo da Ucrânia, incluindo os jornalistas que cobrem a zona de conflito, os professores, educadores, estudantes e alunos que têm direito a uma educação num clima de paz. Apoiamos plenamente os nossos parceiros que defendem os objetivos e valores da UNESCO na Ucrânia e mais além.

A 24 de fevereiro, a UNESCO apelou ao respeito do direito humanitário internacional. Em particular, apelou à preservação da liberdade de informação, à proteção dos profissionais da comunicação social e ao cumprimento da Convenção de Haia para a Proteção dos Bens Culturais em Caso de Conflito Armado. Um total de sete sítios do Património Mundial da UNESCO estão localizados na Ucrânia. Perante a escalada da violência, o Secretário-Geral da ONU, António Guterres, pediu ao Presidente russo para que retirasse as suas tropas da Ucrânia.

The National Commissions for UNESCO of Europe (and beyond) condemn the attack on Ukraine

Recent events mark a watershed for Ukraine, Europe and the whole world.
The National Commissions for UNESCO of Europe (and beyond) condemn the attack on Ukraine by the Russian Federation in the strongest terms. We express our solidarity with the people of Ukraine, which includes the journalists covering the conflict zone, and the teachers, educators, students and pupils who have the right to be educated in peace. We fully support our partners who advocate for UNESCO's goals and values in Ukraine and beyond.
On 24 February, UNESCO called for the respect of international humanitarian law. Specifically, it called for the preservation of freedom of information, the protection of media professionals and to respect the Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict. A total of seven UNESCO World Heritage sites are located in Ukraine. Following the recent escalation of violence, the UN Secretary General Mr. António Guterres asked the Russian President to withdraw his troops from Ukraine.

Les Commissions nationales pour l'UNESCO d’Europe (et au-delà) condamnent l'attaque contre l'Ukraine

Les événements récents marquent un tournant pour l'Ukraine, l'Europe et le monde entier.
Les Commissions nationales pour l’UNESCO d’Europe (et au-delà) condamnent dans les termes les plus forts l'attaque de la Fédération de Russie contre l'Ukraine. Nous tenons à exprimer notre solidarité au peuple d’Ukraine, aux journalistes qui couvrent la zone de conflit, aux enseignants, éducateurs, étudiants et aux écoliers qui ont le droit à une éducation dans un climat de paix. Nous soutenons pleinement nos partenaires qui défendent les objectifs et les valeurs de l'UNESCO en Ukraine et au-delà de ses frontières.
Le 24 février, l'UNESCO a demandé le respect du droit humanitaire international. Elle a appelé notamment à préserver la liberté d'information, à protéger les professionnels des médias et à respecter la Convention de La Haye en faveur de la protection des biens culturels en cas de conflit armé. Au total, sept sites du patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO se trouvent en Ukraine. Face à l’escalade de la violence, le Secrétaire général de l'ONU, M. António Guterres, a demandé au Président russe de retirer ses troupes d'Ukraine.
